GridIron Software is building a new tool with a slick user interface, targeted at people who work as creative professionals. These are the folks who generate special effects for movies and TV, who create eye-popping graphics for magazines and advertisements, and build slick websites. These people use products such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, PremierePro, Flash/DreamWeaver and all the others), Apple Final Cut Pro (and Motion, SoundTrackPro, Shake and the others), Avid MediaComposer (and ProTools, SoftImage, etc), AutoDesk, QuarkXPress, etc.

GridIron Software is building tools to help creative pros do what they do best.

We are currently looking for a Junior Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic and exciting team in our Ottawa, ON office to help us design a new future for creative professionals while working with industry experts and some of the best creative minds in the business.

To generate demand for GridIron products, drive revenue, and build awareness for the corporate brand, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing marketing programs from concept to program execution and post-program review, executing on time and on budget. Activities may include planning and managing lead generation campaigns that use direct mail, email, trade shows and conferences, customer case studies and other activities as required.


Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate artwork development projects including packaging, promotions,
  • Assist with the development and manage implementation of tradeshows and conferences, promotions, competitive research, new product launches, monthly activity reports.
  • Communicates with internal teams regarding marketing issues and recommends course of action.
  • Research industry trends.
  • Respond to pre-sales customer queries and process sales orders as required
  • Communicate with outside vendors when required.
  • Support ongoing programs and related activities of the team.
  • Other research, administrative, travel planning and marketing activities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 or more years in a Marketing role, preferably focused on B2C or Consumer Software
  • Strong understanding of marketing planning and program development/execution
  • Detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with ability to manage multiple projects and vendors at the same time
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office or Apple iWork
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Familiarity with Mac OS a plus
  • Familiarity with creative pro & design market a definite bonus.
